Non-Degree Continuing Education

Online graduate level math courses are offered as part of the NC State Mathematics Department continuing education classes to students who are not in a degree program at NC State. Teachers, engineers and professionals in fields requiring advanced mathematics skills use the online graduate courses to conveniently fulfill mathematics continuing education requirements and to deepen knowledge in specific areas of the discipline.

Students interested in taking a graduate course for mathematics continuing education should have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year university. Please see the course catalog for specific prerequisites for each course. All of the online graduate math courses provide the same graduate-level college credit as courses taken on campus and are documented by an official transcript from NC State.

To be eligible to register for a course, students should apply to the Non-Degree Studies (NDS) Program. Visit the Registration and Records website for details on how to apply to the NDS program. There is a $25 application fee.

Visit the Cashier’s Office website for the most up-to-date information on distance education and on-campus tuition rates.
